Birdseye Sugar Maple Vase

This birdseye sugar maple vase is modest in height, but full of character. The cracks are filled with antique gold epoxy in the spirit of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken objects with a form of metal, traditionally gold. The technique highlights the damage, rather than trying to conceal it, making it a good reminder that we all have flaws but are often better off because of them! Hand finished with all natural, non-toxic walnut oil.  14"x9".
