This aged spalted curly maple platter is an amazing example of the beauty that nature creates. When I begin a piece like this, I never know what is inside but am so pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness that emerges. It is why I so often say "the wood is the art, I just turn it."  Hand finished with a blend of all natural, non-toxic walnut oil, carnauba wax and beeswax, the platter measures 13" x 4".
